Many conditions affect the health of the eyes. Diagnosing and monitoring these conditions is critical for maintaining good vision throughout your lifetime. One of the new instruments we use to identify and follow changes in the optic nerve and retina is the Stratus Optical Coherence Tomographer, or OCT. Conditions such as Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Diabetes, and other conditions that affect the retina can all be digitally imaged in detail to help the doctor establish a baseline and detect subtle changes over time, and determine the most effective plan for treatment.
